Love Cynthia Stamps: Happy Holidays!

Happy Sunday everyone! I've fallen in LOVE with these awesome stamps from Love Cynthia! She is an Artist who lives in France, and she creates adorable characters that are perfect for planner pages, cards, scrapbook layouts....pretty much anything and everything crafty!

She is currently running a contest for the month of October with various themes each week. At the end of the month she will pick 2 winners to receive 50 EUROS shop credits!! How awesome is that?! The theme for the 3rd Week is "COLOR IT". This challenge is about sharing how you color your Love Cynthia Stamps.

Since it is a coloring challenge I decided to color all of the images on the Happy Holidays stamp set. And to top it all off, I included a quick tutorial on how I color hair using one of my fave Copic Combos. I stamped all the images on Copic Xpress It Blending Card and of course used my Copic Markers.

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E15
Brown Hair: E43, E77, E49
Black Hair: C3, C7, Black
Red: R24, R27, R29, R39
Green: YG23, YG25, YG17, YG67, G28
White: C1, C2, C3, Colorless Blender
  Brown: E13, E23, E25, E29
Black: C6, C7, C9
Snowman Arms & Antlers: E42. E43, E44
Plaid Scarf: R24, R39, YG23, G28

I used some papers in my stash. The snowy hillside was made using the Lawn Fawn Landscape Stitched Hillside Backdrop Die. The tree die is from Marianne Creatables.

And here is a quick tutorial on how I did the hair on one of the Happy Girls. I first lay down my darkest color. In this case E49. You have to practice those flicks ladies to get the thin line. You use the very tip and hold your pen up high almost like you are flicking only air.
Next I come in with my medium color (E77) and expand the flicks towards the center.

Finally, I come in with my lightest color (E43) and flick again towards the center. I do not come in and just color in the white areas in a circular motion. I keep with the flicks so I don't lose the contrast. If you go too heavy with the light color and lose the darker flicks then just come back in with E77 and add a few more flicks to get some of the contrast back.

Be sure to head over to the Love Cynthia Facebook Group and play along if you own some of the stamps. She also shares FREEBIES in the group! Definitely check out the Love Cynthia Store and add some of these adorable sets to your collection. You will LOVE them!

I love cute and adorable snowmen, so when I saw this image I knew I needed it for my collection! Cheryl draws the most amazing scenes and whimsical characters. The other great thing is that you have the choice of purchasing an already colored version, which is a life-saver if you are trying to get several cards finished in a short amount of time!

 Copics:

The Greeting Farm: Best Friends!

Happy Monday everyone! As you may have seen there were some awesome sets released at The Greeting Farm yesterday. Don't forget there is a BLOG HOP where 1 lucky winner will take home all 4 sets!! All you have to do is leave a comment on each participating DT's Blog post for a chance to win! It's a short hop list so not time consuming at all!

Today I'm showcasing BEST FRIENDS. I think she is so gorgeous with her beautiful eyes and fall wardrobe! She also has a coordinating die so you don't have to fussy cut her out. The thing I LOVE about the TGF dies is that they cut very close to the image. I don't like a huge white border around my images so I generally don't order coordinating dies, but the ones from TGF are AWESOME!!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E15
Hair: E43, E77, E47, E49
Eyes: E43
Teal: BG11, BG13, BG72, BG75
Tights: E25, E27, E29
Boots: E42, E43, E44, E47
Scarf: YR04, E19, BG13, BG75, E25, E29

I used some older decorative papers from my stash. I watercolored the background behind my image with distress inks. To finish it off I added some pearls in the corners. The fabulous sentiment is from Impression Obsession.

Be sure to check out all the NEW RELEASES in The Greeting Farm Store. See you back here on Wednesday when I showcase Honor Students. If you are a Harry Potter fan you're gonna love it!!

Hugs,
Rosie

The Greeting Farm: Tip Me Tuesday-Skin Series

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today, I'm featured on The Greeting Farm Blog for their bi-monthly Tip Me Tuesday series. TMT is a fun little post about favorite color combos, using our choice of mediums. For the month of October, TGF is showcasing different skin combos.

I'm sharing how I color my TGF images who wear glasses. I used this adorable girl who was part of the Stamptember Celebration at Simon Says Stamp. The set is sold out, but you could use You're Spectacular to practice. As an extra bonus I also included one of my fave hair combos so keep scrolling. :)

Step 1: I usually start with my lightest color (E000) and outline where I think I'm going to add my darkest color for the shadow on her face.

Step 2: I come in with my darkest color E13 and add my shadows (over the E000). You can see I added E13 under her hair line and under the rim of her glasses.

Step 3: I then come in with my next darkest color E11, going a little over the E13 and bringing the line out a little towards the center of her face. I also use E11 to make a circle around her eyes so I remember to leave a little white around her pupil.

Step 4: Next, I add E01 and bring the line even further to the center of her face.

Step 5: I add E00, and again bring my color closer to the center of her face.

Step 6: Then I add E000 and go over everything to blend even further.

Step 7: Finally, I use N2 to color the glasses over her eyes.

NOW, on to the bonus feature of HAIR! When I do hair, I always start with my darkest color and lay in my shadow. For this image I started with E49.

Then I brought in E79, and E47 and flick my lines out further to the center of the highlight.
For my final step, I used E43 and colored in the white areas.

If you try this combo for skin or hair, we would LOVE to see it! You can post your coloring and cards on our Facebook page, The Greeting Farm Fan Page. Be sure to stop back by The Greeting Farm Blog next Tuesday to see the next skin combo from another amazing designer!

Hugs,
Rosie

Love Cynthia Stamps: Make It Happen

Happy Saturday everyone!

The theme for the first week is called "I'm A Happy Girl" and the goal is to pick one of her stamps that best represents you.

I love to travel and one of my favorite cities to go on adventures in is New York City! There is so much to see and do there, and of course, the food is AMAZING! When I was little and my dad was in the Army, we would get stationed in Germany a lot. New York is where we always flew out of on our travels overseas so we would always get there a couple days early and do some sightseeing before the plane ride.

I used the girl from the Make It Happen Stamp Set to best represent me in the first challenge of the month. I also used elements from the Don't Quit Your Daydream to created the Polaroid scene. I stamped the Statue of Liberty with Versamark Ink, rubbed green chalk over the image and cut her out. The rest of the scene was stamped and colored with Copics. I used blue chalk to make the sky.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E42, E47, E49
Red: R24, R27, R29, R39
Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
Polaroid Scene: C3, C5, BG72, B97
Taxi Cab: YR21, YR23, C5, C7, C9, R27, Silver Paint Pen

I used some digital papers I found on Etsy called New York City Themed Paper and New York. The sentiments on the Polaroid frame are from 2 older Love Cynthia stamp sets.

Be sure to head over to the Love Cynthia Facebook Group and play along if you own some of the stamps. She also shares FREEBIES in the group! Definitely check out the Love Cynthia Store and add some of these adorable sets to your collection. You will LOVE them!

Rosie

C.C. Designs: October New Release Now Available!!

Today is RELEASE DAY for the OCTOBER Stamps at C.C. Designs. This month we are back with stamps from the C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies and Roberto's Rascals featuring all the cute things about CHRISTMAS!! I'm love this month's release so much! Be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Blog to see the New Release Video, and to find out if you were a winner from our Preview Days.

I've been on a roll with scene cards, so I decided to make another one! This one features two stamps from the new release...Roberto's Rascals Little Elf with one of the reindeer from the 3 Reindeers Set. I love his expression and felt like he needed a cutie to gaze upon. I think they look so sweet together!

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Black Hair: Black, C9, C3
Brown Hair: E43, E47, E49
Reindeer Outfit: E23, E25, E27, E29, R11
Antlers: E42, E43, E44
Red: R24, R27, R29, R39
Green: YG06, YG17, YG67, G28

The adorable Christmas Tree die is from Tutti Designs. To make the rug, I cut out a thin oval from patterned paper using an older C.C. Designs die. Next, I added red cardstock and cut little slits around the oval to make the fringe. The "wood" floors were made using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop Die. I used one of the sentiments from the new C.C. Designs Christmas Wishes, stamped it with Versamark, and rubbed green chalk around it. The red scalloped frame was made using a My Favorite Things Die.

All of the new stamps are available in the C.C. Designs Store! Have an awesome Thursday!

Hugs,
Rosie
