La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Monday-PAPER PIECING!

Happy Monday everyone! I apologize for this post going up a little late today. This past week my hubby was terribly sick and ended up in the Urgent Care and then the Emergency Room so it's been a hectic week trying to take care of him and get him back in good health. One doc gave us a pretty good scare and wanted him to get a CT Scan, but the doc in the ER diagnosed him with Sinusitis and finally gave him some meds. Anyways, it put me a little behind.

Today's challenge at La-La Land Crafts is:

PAPER-PIECING!!

The Greeting Farm Guest Designer Monday

Happy Monday everyone! I apologize for the post going up a little late today.

Today is my last post as Guest Designer at The Greeting Farm, and I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Marie and Jessica for inviting me to be a part of this amazing journey! I have loved The Greeting Farm for years so this was truly a dream come true for me! You all have also been so awesome and supportive, and I appreciate all the positive and beautiful comments....they were so inspiring and uplifting!!! It's been a wonderful experience to say the least!!

Last Friday for Farm Fresh Friday, the challenge was "CINEMA-My Favorite Movie" so I decided I couldn't leave without sharing a project featuring one of my favorite movie series right now.....TWILIGHT!

Now, I wasn't always a Twilighter. The first movie wasn't really all that impressive. But my friend suggested I read the books, and that's what ended up getting me hooked! Now, I'm part of the Twilight bandwagon, haha.:)

I decided to alter a collage frame I had lying around. Let me tell ya, that was a lot of coloring! I think I have a hand cramp now, LOL! I'm so glad these images are in digi because I was able to buy them all at one time and download them right away.....instant gratification!!

These are the digital images I used:

I printed the title off the computer. The papers are Bo Bunny. I hand wrote the quotes, but I think I might go back and reprint them on the computer. I still think it turned out pretty good. :)
Now, don't forget, you still have time to link up for the CINEMA Challenge

THANK you all again for being so supportive and awesome!

Love you guys!!
Rosie :)

LLLC Inspiration Monday--GIVE THANKS!

I'm back with another creation....this time La-La Land Crafts! If you are looking for The Greeting Farm frame with Anya Styles, click HERE. :)

This week's theme at La-La Land Crafts is:

GIVE THANKS!

I have so much to be thankful for: a loving and supportive husband, a wonderful and amazing little boy, family, friends, awesome opportunities....seriously, the list could go on for days. I've been participating in the daily give thanks on Facebook and it really has me thinking on a regular basis all the things I'm thankful for. I've been truly blessed in life and I sometimes do not take the time to thank God for everything he's blessed me with. I really need to do that more often!

For my card today, I used Pilgrim Luka. He just seemed so appropriate especially with Thanksgiving right around the corner. :)

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: YR31, YR23
Hat: E47, E44, E43, YR24, YR23, YR21, C7, C5, C3
Shirt: G28, G24, G21, E47, E44, E43, C7, C5, C3
Pants: E47, E44, E43
Shoes: C7, C5, C3, YR23, YR21
Basket: E55, E53, E51, R29, R24

I used some dps from Basic Grey's Pyrus Pad, along with several LLLC Dies:

The sentiment if from Close To My Heart "A Little Thanks" stamp set. The pumpkin and acorns came from Hobby Lobby. I raised the sentiment and Luka on pop-dots.

Don't forget to check out the La-La Land Crafts Company page and Group page on Facebook. We also have a twitter feed! We would love to see your La-La Land Crafts creations so be sure to link them up to the Customer Gallery for a chance to win a prize.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

The Greeting Farm Guest Designer Monday

Happy Monday y'all! I'm so glad you have joined me today for another project for The Greeting Farm! Those of you who know me or follow me know that I like to alter cheap frames or make 3-D projects. I don't always have the time to make them on a regular basis, but I find cutting and figuring out tutorials fun and relaxing (most of the time, haha!). Well, today I have a special altered frame to share with you.

Last week on Thursday, Marie and Jessica offered up a "Pay It Forward" challenge. You can read all the details HERE! You have until Wed. Nov. 21, at 10pm CST to enter your card and email Jessica, so get those TGF images out and create something for it asap! :)

I think it's an amazing and really touching idea so my project today is based on their challenge. On today's project, I decided to use Anya Styles. She's one of the new releases for November. I think she's gorgeous, and kind of sassy. :) If you can't tell, I really love these Big Anyas!! They are so much fun to color up.

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E49, E47, E44
Pink: R83, R85, R89
Turquoise: BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18
"white" Shading: N2, N0, colorless blender

My project started with a cheap $1 frame from Micheals. I cut the dps (from Echo Park This & That) in 2"x 2" squares and 1.25" x 2" rectangles, and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

I raised Anya Styles on pop-dots for added dimension. The flowers are from various companies. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart "A Little Thanks" (D1444).

Now, don't forget there are several challenges going on right now at The Greeting Farm with prizes. Please check out the Thanksgiving Pay It Forward Challenge HERE for all the details on how you can surprise a friend in need or who just might need a little pick me up.

Thanks again for stopping by and for all your support and encouraging comments! I love to hear what you all think! :)

Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

Yumi and Fumi Winter Preview!

Hiya my friends! How are you doing? I've been busy (more like swamped) this week. I'm back today with a Winter Preview of the stamps that will be available in the Yumi and Fumi Store on Monday, November 26th!! Each release is so exciting and I seem to love each of them more and more!!

Today, I get to show you a preview of Winter Chuckles! He's modeled after Leanne's cousin Chuck. I met Chuck in January at CHA and I tell ya, he's the nicest guy out there and he ALWAYS has a smile on his face! He works at Disneyland so maybe that explains the smile. :)

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hat: E37, E35, E34, E31, R27, R24
Shirt: G21, G24, G28
Vest/Shoes: C3, C5, C7
Pants: B24, B91, B93, B95

For my card I used some dps from My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter 12x12 pad. I wish I could find these dps in a 6x6 pad....they are soooo beautiful and glittery.

The clear rhinestones are from CTMH. I cut the tag and snowmen also from the MME Wonderful Winter paper pad. I love to cut apart different dps and make a scene or banner! You can see in the side view that I raised Winter Chuckles and the snowmen on Recollection Pop-dots....my other favorite product!

You can see a preview of the entire "Winter" collection on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts Blog!! You should check it out when you have time because there is a ton of inspiration there (we even brought in some guest designers)!!

Have a great week!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

LLLC Inspiration Monday--Use a Number!

If you are looking for The Greeting Farm project, please click HERE.

I'm back again with a new challenge for La-La Land Crafts! This week is going to be a very busy blogging week for me. So if you are looking for something in particular, you may have to scroll down a bit. :)

The theme this week is:

USE A NUMBER!!

I don't know why I don't use numbers more often! I have tons of stickers and chipboard number, but for some reason they don't end up on my cards. I really need to find them and start using them. :)

For my card today, I use the most adorable little image ever called, Christmas Present Luka. He totally reminds me of my son Isaiah! :)

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Hat: R24, R27, R37, N0
Sweater/Boots: E33, E31, E30, E34
Present: G21, G24, G28, R24, R27, R37

I used some cute dps from My Mind's Eye All Is Bright paper pad. I also used a newly released LLLC Die called Christmas Tree. LOVE IT!!

I cut the date and the word "Merry" from other dps in the same paper pack. The clear rhinestones are from CTMH. In the side view you can see I raised Luka and the tags on pop-dots for added dimension. I love those things and use them on almost every card/project!

Have you checked out the La-La Land Crafts Company page and Group page on Facebook? We also have a twitter feed! If you haven't joined our groups yet, you might want to think about it because these are the places Irina announces special sales! :)

Don't forget, we would love to see your La-La Land Crafts creations!! Be sure to link them up to the Customer Gallery for a chance to win a prize.

Have a great week!
Rosie :)

The Greeting Farm Guest Designer Monday

Happy Monday y'all! How was your weekend? Mine was busy trying to get all sorts of crafty projects done! I was hoping to get ahead, but since I run on sheer last minute panic, I'm just struggling to meet all my deadlines, LOL! One day I'll be ahead of the game, although probably not until after the holidays, haha!

I'm sooooo EXCITED to be back today sharing a creation for my Guest DT spot with The Greeting Farm. Now, if you haven't been to their blog, you are missing out. Each week they have various challenges to participate in to win free stamps...did ya hear me....prizes every week! You have to use an image from The Greeting Farm, but they have digis available HERE.

You still have until the end of today to enter the Double Take Tuesday Challenge: Red, Teal & White. In addition, a new challenge went up on Friday for Farm Fresh Fridays and it's Anything But a Card

I kind of combined both themes for my project today, although I used more Pink, Teal, & White. :) I decided to use the super adorable Anya Celebrates! I LOVE this line of Big Anyas!! They are so easy to color and very, very CA-UTE!! I colored her with Copics on Neenah Cardstock.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Shirt/Shoes/Hearts: R81, R83, R85, R20
Pants: E30, E31, E34
Present: BG10, BG13, BG15, N2, N0

My project is a Pop-Up Diorama. I found a tutorial for it HERE. It seems complicated, but it went together somewhat quickly. The time consuming part was making the presents and the banner.

Now, the measurements on the tutorial are in cm. I'm going to give you the measurements in inches that I used for the above diorama. I cut my rectangles 4.50" tall x 6" wide. I measured 1/2" from the sides and used my cutting knife to cut out the center. For the side "hinges", I cut my cardstock 2" wide x 4.50" tall and scored in 1/2 inch increments.

You can tell in the side view that I used various shades of teal cardstock from Core-dinations. The presents were cut from different scraps of dps and then wrapped with ribbon or trim.

The great thing about this Pop-Up Diorama is that you can squash it flatter for mailing. :)

Now, head on over to The Greeting Farm STORE to check out all their stamps and digis! Believe me you won't be disappointed!! Have a great week and see you back here soon. This week is a busy one for me!

Hugs,
Rosie

Yumi & Fumi Challenge--Use Ribbon or Lace!

Grab our badge!
Happy Sunday y'all! Two weeks have already flown by since the last challenge and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I can't wait!! I love the mood the holidays get me in, especially the cooking and baking mood. My little boy gets a whole week off from school too so I'm definitely looking forward to that! :) Do you have any special plans for Thanksgiving?

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to those of you who complete in the Yumi and Fumi challenges!!

As a special treat, Renate and Leanne will be offering up a prize with this challenge, along with the top 3!! Head over to the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Blog for details HERE!!

It's going to be an easy challenge so I hope you play along with us. :) Remember you don't have to use a Yumi and Fumi image to participate. You can use any images from Sister Stamps, La-La Land Crafts and The Greeting Farm also!! I'm sure you have at least one of those to work with. :)  You can see all of the Challenge Rules HERE to make sure you qualify.

Today we have a new, easy challenge to announce:

Use Ribbon or Lace!

This Challenge will run for 3 weeks to give you time (with the holidays) to play along with us!! You have until Saturday, December 1st, 11am PST to link up your new project on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Blog (one entry per blog.) Don't forget.....there's a prize involved! :)

For my card today, I used the super adorable Fumi with Messenger Bag!  She's colored with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Eyes: E44, E47
Shirt/Messenger Bag/Shoes: C3, C5, C7
Sweater: R22, R29, G07, G28, Inkssentials White
Skirt/Socks: R22, R24, R27, R29

Did ya spot my use of ribbon? I found an awesome "School" pack of ribbon from The Paper Studio (at Hobby Lobby). It has 5 different ribbons. I used three and glued them to some black cardstock. Then I cut the left end to form a banner. The small print dp is from Authentique Essentials Collection. The triangle banner and "Nice Work! caption box is from a dp in the DCWV "The Edumacation Stack" paper pack. The clear rhinestones are CTMH.

You can see in the side view that I raised some of my elements on Recollections pop-dots for added dimension. I use pop-dots on everything and to me the circle ones from Recollections (Michaels) are the best. They peel off easy and actually stick!

Now, come along and play with us! Remember you have 3 weeks to link up something to the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Blog, and you can use images from Sister Stamps, La-La Land Crafts, and The Greeting Farm. :)

Have a great Sunday and see you back here on Monday for some more inspiration!

Hugs,
Rosie :)

I'm a Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm!!

It's a happy, happy day for me today because I finally get to announce what I've been holding in for a little while......I'm the November Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm!!! :) :) :)

For those of you who have followed me from the beginning, you know that The Greeting Farm stamps started my cardmaking, blogging, and hoarding obsession with stamps!! You can see my first blog post HERE which features my card that won the Monochromatic Challenge from January 4th, 2010! If you can't tell, I LOVE these stamps!!

Every Monday for the month of November, I'll be showcasing a card/project on their blog HERE!
I'm so excited about this opportunity and just hope and pray they like what I bring to the table!! Thank you so much Jessica and Marie! This is definitely a dream come true for me. :)

For my card today, I decided to use one of the newly released stamps called Holiday Anya 2. I love her hair and the flowing bow.....sooooooo adorable! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.

Want a chance to win her?? Then leave a comment below on this post and head over to The Greeting Farm's Facebook page and "Like" them HERE. Jessica will announce the winner of this cute stamp on the Facebook page!!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E49, E47, E44
Dress/Shoes: G46, G28, G24, G12
Bow: R29, R27, R24, R22

I also decided to make something different than my regular 6x6 cards. I found this awesome tutorial by Katie Tate HERE for this special Folded Card. I love how it turned out so I'm pretty sure I'll make more of these soon!

Here's what the card looks like when it's folded flat for mailing.

Here's the card when it's opened up to be displayed.

Supplies:
Core'dinations Cardstock
My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter 12x12 paper pad
Spellbinders: Floral Ovals/Standard Ovals
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
LLLC Filigree Corner Die
CTMH Pearls

Here's a side view so you can see the dimension. The middle pops out to the front so your image can be the star of the show. I cut the sentiment from one of the dps and made a little banner to go above Holiday Anya 2.
Well, that's my big NEWS that I've been so eagerly waiting to share with all of you!! This is truly a blessing and I'm just so happy to be asked to be a part of their Design Team! I'll be here and on TGF Blog every Monday in November with a TGF creation so I hope you come back and leave me some love. :)

I also want to thank all of you who have been so supportive of me these past several years. It's hard to believe that I'm coming up on my 3 year blogging anniversary in Feb. 2013. Time definitely flies when you are having fun!

Have a great week and see you back here soon!
Love ya,
Rosie :)

Inspiration Monday-FALL COLORS!

Oooooh man, today's the first Monday of November....hard to believe the end of 2012 is almost here!! Are you gearing up for the holidays yet? I love both Thanksgiving and Christmas so I'm giddy with excitement! It's also the time of year for a bunch of birthdays for family and friends so that's the part I'm not really prepared for, LOL!

To get us in the mood for fall and autumn, our La-La Land Crafts Challenge today is:

FALL COLORS!

There is some great inspiration for you on the LLLC Blog so you'll definitely want to head over there to see all the amazing DT creations! These ladies bring it to the table every week and inspire me tremendously. I hope they also inspire you to get out your fall colored paper and create something for the LLLC Gallery!!

For my card today, I used the super adorable Darling Marci. I love her little bob and I needed an image that was sitting. :) I stamped her on X-press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E49, E47, E44
Dress: E47, E44, E43, YR27, YR24, YR23, YR21
Shoes: E47, E44, E43

I also used a couple of La-La Land Crafts DIES:
The beautiful dps came from MME Lost & Found SUNSHINE. The flowers are a combo from Recollections and WOC. The lace trim from WOC started off white and I inked over it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to make it brown. The thin yellow trim on top of the lace is from Affinity (Hobby Lobby).  The pearls are from Recollections. I raised Darling Marci on pop dots for added dimension.

Well I hope you enjoyed my FALL card. I've got some exciting news coming up on my blog later today!! I hope you come back to hear my great news!
Don't forget to check out the La-La Land Crafts Company page and Group page on Facebook. We also have a twitter feed. If you haven't joined us on Facebook, you might want to think about it. It's where Irina announces all the steals and deals! :
We would love to see your La-La Land Crafts creations so just link them up to the Customer Gallery for a chance at a prize.
Have a great week and see you back here soon with another creation!!

Hugs,
Rosie :)
